- Final feelings: bad!
The most consistent thing I have noticed between all the exquisitely bad movies that I watch with my bad movie group is that the worst ones are all so nauseating with their camera movements. They communicate nothing at all and you are just left twisting and whirling in the frame purely for the sake of it. Holding the camera steady would not have made the content of this movie any better, it just would have made watching it less physically uncomfortable. So, I resent the creators of these movies for that.
It totally makes sense that this was a made-for-tv collab between Germany and South Africa, for something set in the distant future it has zero desire to separate itself from the most overdone racial and gender humor from this time frame. I get that the bar is on the floor for TV-movies but stuff you watched on TV in 2004 was still sometimes good! Maybe I should have added in ad breaks between every scene transition. That probably would have helped. Also, how is this the movie that teaches me that Coolio had a career in film?
